Technical Talk

Many Morgan owners like to tinker with their cars, be it simple servicing or complete rebuilds. The Morgan Motor Company has never produced workshop manuals so owners often learn from each other through technical articles or online forums.

The traditional Morgan is actually a very simple car in construction and, with the help of online information, can often be worked on by owners with some basic skills.

Help, Hints & Suggestions for classic Morgan owners

Two ā€œmanualsā€ are available within the Morgan community especially useful for owners of classic Morgans (mostly from 30’s through into 80’s) especially 3W, +4, 4/4, and +8 models. Ā The detailed tome is Fred Sisson’s ā€œBedside Readerā€ with some 250 pages of help and hints; the compilation of suggestions to help keep your Morgan on the road is Gary Dubois-Bell’s (aka Cuthbert Twillie) 160 pages of hints in ā€œA Yank in Malvernā€. Information from these books can be sent to members. After logging in, you will find the indexes for these two publications by clicking here. The indexes will help you in locating the information you need. Ā
