Alga Sedaitis' 1963 Plus 4 Rebuild

Those heading north home from Canberra on the 2026 Merimbula holiday run had the opportunity to see the work being undertaken by Alga Sedaitis on his 1963 Plus 4. Alga and Jill very kindly welcomed the travellers to the vast workshop that houses their car with a lovely morning tea.

Alga had been on the hunt for a project and this car was known to him from his younger days when the car had been gifted to a friend, Garry Tongs, for his 17th birthday. Alga and his cousin Alby (and Alby’s brother John) had both been involved in supporting the car in its hill racing adventures in the 1960s. Alby was the only one other than Garry to have driven the car in Lakeview hill climb. It was nice to meet Alby on our visit to Sapphire Coast Historic Vehicle Club on this run.

These pictures below were taken by Jason Barker and illustrate the workmanship Alga has put into this rebuild. Jason also wrote an article for The Morgan Ear.
